Nghiên cứu này nhằm mục đích xác định các yếu tố ảnh hưởng đến quyết định học điều dưỡng và các yếu tố liên quan đến ý định bỏ học của sinh viên điều dưỡng. 245 sinh viên điều dưỡng tham gia trả lời bộ câu hỏi được thiết kế sẵn và sử dụng SPSS 22.0 để phân tích dữ liệu. Kết quả cho thấy các yếu tố ảnh hưởng đến quyết định lựa chọn điều dưỡng gồm yếu tố bên trong: mong muốn có một công việc liên quan y tế (3,97±0,9), mong muốn được giúp đỡ những người bị bệnh và đau khổ (4,3±0,8), kinh nghiệm chăm sóc người thân bị bệnh (3,76±1,1); yếu tố bên ngoài như hình ảnh người điều dưỡng trên mạng xã hội (3,54±1,0), cơ hội tốt về việc làm trong nước (3,55±1,0) và ngoài nước (3,78±0,9); ý kiến của gia đình và có người thân trong gia đình bị bệnh. Bên cạnh đó, ý định bỏ học điều dưỡng tăng theo thời gian học và sinh viên có tìm hiểu về điều dưỡng trước khi lựa chọn nghề nghiệp ít có ý định bỏ học hơn.
This study aims to determine factors affecting the decision to study nursing and factors related to nursing students' intention to drop out. 245 nursing students responded to a pre-designed questionnaire and the data was analyzed by using SPSS 22.0. The results showed that the factors affecting with the decision to choose nursing are internal factors: the desire to have a job in medical services (3,97±0,9), desire to help people who are ill and suffering (4,3±0,8), experience in taking care of sick relatives (3,76±1,1); external factors: the images of nursing on social networks (3,54±1,0), job opportunity in domestically (3,55±1,0) and internationally (3,78±0,9); opinion of the family and having a sick family member. Besides that, the intention to drop out increases with the study time, and students who sought information about nursing before choosing a career had a lower level of intention to drop out.
